Amartya is an independent filmmaker based out of Mumbai. A alumni from the Film and Television Institute of India, his short films have been screened at international festivals such as Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur, IFFSA Toronto, DIFF, IDSFFK, Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, Changing Perspectives Turkey, etc. He is a grant winner of the Doc Commune program by PSBT as well as Nagari Film Competition by CCF.
Both his fiction and documentaries deal with the intersectionality of the human self and the modern world, exploration of the urban landscape and the ephemeral within the mundane.
