RESOURCE EXPERTS
As part of the Nagari short film competition, CCF invites various resource experts to host workshops with the shortlisted teams to further develop their film proposals. The subject experts are invited from the fields of research, urban governance, activism and filmmaking to take them through the basics of shot-taking, sequence construction, urban policies, and working with communities, for non-fiction filmmaking and address any social and technical concerns they may have.

The workshop was about the basics of shot-taking and sequence construction for the short non-fiction film. It featured different approaches to a subject and addressed the technical concerns of the participants.

The workshop discussed various binaries of the public realm through collective memory in relation to informalism and the people-centric approaches to documentary filmmaking. As this brought into focus the frameworks to engage with the community, and documenting critically and collaboratively.
Discussions around quantifying informalism, various policies and long-term regulations provided valuable insights that helped filmmakers engage with their topics both critically and through multiple perspectives.
