Geetanjali (she/they) has been a journalist, social researcher and documentary filmmaker, one at a time and all at once. After a Master’s in Peace and Conflict Studies, she recently completed a Master’s in Visual Anthropology, Media and Documentary Practices. Her first documentary short Jarjar Ghar (Houses of Decay) (2020), produced for CCF, won Best Documentary Award in Pune Short Film Festival. Her debut feature documentary, which is currently in post production, was supported by PSBT and Bitchitra Collective. The film was showcased exclusively in DokLeipzig’s Film Market, Germany, and NFDC’s Film Bazaar, India.
