Nipun Prabhakar is a photojournalist, architect and artist whose work moves between built environments and human stories. He founded the Dhammada Collective, which works with communities on participatory and sustainable design projects. As a photographer and writer, his work has appeared in The New York Times, Washington Post, Nikki Asia, Wallpaper, etc exploring themes of place, memory, and transformation. Nipun’s practice often blurs disciplines using film, research, and design to document how people shape, and are shaped by, their surroundings. Nipun is the founder of Dhammada Collective.
