Ram is a photographer, graphic designer, and cultural practitioner. Trained at MIT and Yale, he has worked professionally in architectural photography and graphic design, producing book covers, posters, magazines, and exhibition designs. He has lectured widely on contemporary Indian photography and modern architecture at institutions including the Bhau Daji Lad Museum, Jnanapravah, MoMA New York, Tate Modern, the Centre Pompidou, and Harvard. Rahman is a founding member of the Safdar Hashmi Memorial Trust (SAHMAT) and has curated major exhibitions, including Delhi: Building the Modern at the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art.
