Siddharth Kar is a writer, director, and photographer whose work moves between fiction and documentary, exploring the textures of urban life and the quiet intimacies of human emotion. For the past eight years, he has been working independently, creating films and visual stories that balance observation with emotional truth. His recent film, where he served as editor, was selected for the NFDC Viewing Room. One of his ongoing projects, currently in production, has been part of DocEdge 2024 and Tokyo Docs, receiving international attention for its depth and visual language.
He sees filmmaking as a shared journey; a way to understand people and the worlds they inhabit. He values collaboration and is drawn to voices that bring sincerity, curiosity, and heart to storytelling.
