landscape architect | educator
Smruti Balvalli is a landscape architect and educator with over a decade of experience. Her work explores the intersections of urban and natural open spaces, with academic interests in visual communication and documentation, landscape urbanism and ecological restoration. In 2020, she founded Nature Narratives—an environmental planning and landscape architecture practice that approaches design as a process – engaging with diverse scales, typologies, and cross-sectoral fields of ecology, planning, and design. Through her work, Smruti seeks to shape environments that are socio-culturally diverse and hold narratives of nature in all its complex and rich forms.
