Sooni Taraporevala is an internationally award-winning screenwriter, filmmaker, and photographer. Most recently, she created, directed, showran & co-wrote a 9-episode series Waack Girls that is on Amazon Prime. She has also written/directed the films Little Zizou & Yeh Ballet (on Netflix). Her first screenplay was Salaam Bombay, followed by Mississipi Masala starring Denzel Washington. She has also written the films The Namesake, Such A Long Journey & Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. Her photographs have been exhibited and are in collections around the world. She lives in Mumbai with her husband, Dr Firdaus Bativala and their children Jahan and Iyanah.
